Battle of the Browsers

I find some browsers more interesting and stylish than others, but which one fits the bill?

Internet Explorer - The Beginner

Internet Explorer has always been around, and is a common site on anybodies desktop. Mostly used if you're a beginner to the internet, due to its simply display. Personally, this ones a bit of a stinker.

Score : 5.0
Does the job, and not much more.

Opera - Lightning Quick

Opera is a bit less known, and tends to pop up on our mobile phones and games consoles rather than our computer screens. In my opinion, it should stay on the handheld devices and tellies.

Score: 7.1
Pretty cool, but a bit all over the place.

Google Chrome - The Style Icon

Google's installment into the browser race is certainly all looks, but does it have the goods to back it up? Yes, yes and yes. It's huge Chrome Web Store (https://chrome.google.com/) is certainly the most impressive browser app, theme and extension store. Themes especially are plentiful. It could be compared to the Android Market. To get the most out of it you should pop by the Chrome Store. One thing I will say is that the bookmarks really let it down. They are really messy to use. I'm calling for a connection to Google Bookmark for handy access.

Score: 9.4
Have the bookmarks let Chrome down?

Mozilla Firefox - The Solid One

If your looking for a solid browser, then Firefox is for you. With excellent history search, you can easily find sites you went on last year and completely forgot the URL and didn't mark it as a bookmark. Its got a basis add-on store with loads of content. It's also got its own Google Toolbar if you care to install it. Firefox may be a bit too old-fashioned for some people.

Score: 9.5
A really excellent browser that has everything except for looks.

So Firefox pips Chrome at the post, although I'm still in love with Chromes flashy looks. What do you think? What browser do you use? Everyone loves their own browser for their own reasons.

Alien Storm Review

**FIACHRA'S GOLD BOOK AWARD**

I finally ended my adventure into the epic second installment in A.G. Taylor's sci-fi Superhumans series, Alien Storm, today. Before you read on I suggest you read the first book, Meteorite Strike, before you read Alien.

Plot
Sarah Williams is on the run. So many around her have fallen victim to the deadly fall virus that has make her so powerful. She and her friends have developed superhuman powers as a side effect of the alien virus. The crew defeated Colonel Moss and control of HIDRA  has been given to Dr. Rachel Anderson, who is trying to find a cure for the virus, and is the head scientist at HIDRA. Unfortunately, Moss' right hand man escaped the showdown with Sarah in the conclusion of the first book. In the first book, Major Bright was given samples of each the children's blood, which was injected into his blood, making him incredibly powerful. He is assembling an army to get more of these blood samples. Meanwhile, HIDRA are on a mission to Bright and take him out. Little does Sarah know that Major Bright will be nothing compared to what she is going to walk into...

Later On...
Sarah and her friends (Wei, Louise, Octavio, Nestor, Alex and Robert) escape from Major Bright's grasp, but then hand right into another trap, although only Sarah senses this at first. Nikolai Makorav is a multi-millionaire, and also has Superhuman powers like the children. He brings them to one of his huge buildings, known as the Spire. It doubles as a hotel and a vast entertainment center. There are 153 levels, Makorav tells them, but there is one condition. Levels past the 90th floor are out of bounds. Sarah is even more suspicious. While all this is happening, HIDRA have recieved news of a lethal Meteorite Shower that is less than 2 days away. This spells big trouble.

Reaction
An excellent sequel worthing of its place in the Superhuman series after it had big shoes to fill after the masterpiece that is Meteorite Strike. A very uncertain ending in the part with Major Bright that really hangs the whole thing up in the air again.

The Verdict
+ Easy to read
+Well developed plot
+Excellent ending
+ Very in depth

SCORE : 9.2

Alien Storm bags the gold award!

I'm Me (January 2011)

I'm me. And you can't change that. I try to live life to the full, even if I do mess up. I'm a messer. I can't keep a straight face for 2 minutes. I talk. Way too much (that's why I try put some of that nonsense here). Especially around friends. I love talking to my friends. Way too much. I love style. I've recently ditched the tracksuit bottoms and sports tops for shirts, scarfs and skinny jeans. I like the laptop, especially the internet. A bit too much, sadly. I love hats. I love changing my hairstyle. I love my bed.
I like texting. And playing with my phone, even if I'm doing nothing. I love looking at the sky, especially at night. Its a very beautiful place if you look closely. I love photography, especially that special moment that you get the perfect snap, and think to yourself "I gocha. Now your goin' no where." I'm generous enough to share most of them pics with you on Flickr and on Teenage Kickz.
I also love the World. Everytime I think, its 10 times more amazing. Our planet is beautiful, ugly, bright, dark, developed, undeveloped, rich, poor, colourful, dull, changing, full of good and full of bad. But I love it anyway. Way too much.

New Look

I've spent alot of time sorting out the makeover to my blog making it alot more ... rocky. More teen-like. More like my online bedroom. Except I can't sleep on my blog. Or put my clothes on it. Or do my homework on it. Okay, its not really a bedroom. Slightly? Its still quite nice. Hope it appeals to all you young single teen girly blogs. Aw man, I'm losin' it.

Aw man. Did it have to go that quick. Well I think you have figured it out. It is time to go back to learning. After the Christmas break its time to fet the heads down again and keep those results coming. Speaking of results, I'm also waiting for the result of my first big exam, my 1st year Christmas Test. Hopefully it will be all smiles :). I suppose this could mean not as much blogging, but I still will try and get back to my online hideout (cool name, huh?) during the weekends. Until then its BACK TO SCHOOL!!

Learn Guitar

As you can see from my to-do list I already take piano lessons. I enjoy this, but I was looking for somethinig new all the same. Lucky my dad in an expert in guitars and owns two acoustics and one electric guitar. I've already learned to play a handful of chords and the bones of Neil Young's masterpiece "When you Were Young." I plan to learn even more in the coming year.
